Enjoy your last few moments of 2011, and may all of you have an awesome 2012! Forget about the past and move on to a much better and brighter future (★^O^★)
Please be careful of yourself if you're counting down outside later alright. Take care, and I'll see you next year!

HAVE A HAPPY NEW YEAR! 。*:★(´・ω・人・ω・`)。:゜★。
Hohoho! It's the happy time of the year again. I hope all of you have enjoyed yourselves as it's such a joyful day! Did you receive a lot of presents? Donated a lot? Ate many many good food? Spent quality time with your family members and loved ones? ♡(*´∀`*)人(*´∀`*)♡

This is Weelakoomah and my new little Christmas presents from the Rilakkuma series! One complete family, hehehe... Here's all of us wishing you a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year! \(*T▽T*)/

As we come to the end of this holy day, although I'm not Christian, but here are some really nice songs you can listen and sing to, to end off your awesome day. There's a surprise 'nonsense' video at the end that I randomly found. Enjoy, and have a good night everyone! Merry Christmas once again, woohoo!

On the last week of school before all the Common Tests started, I attended my first IS module lesson for this semester. It is none other than..... *drum rolls* Photography!!! ヾ(^∇^) For those non-Ngee Ann Polytechnic students, IS means The School of Interdisciplinary Studies, where students can choose to study something else other than the things they learn in their own course.

Some of the IS modules we can choose from includes Business (Entrepreneur & Law, Starting a Business etc.), Arts & Humanities (Understanding Relationships: Love & Sexuality, Social Psychology (I took that last sem), Foreign Languages etc.),  Science & Technology (Animation, Life Sciences Revolution etc.), and Design (Interior Design, Fashion Design, Photography (what I'm learning now) etc.).

For the first lesson, I had to go around school to shoot photos according to the different themes. All photos are unedited, and taken with the Nikon D90.

1) People
Critique: This is a good picture, and it made the class laugh! Wheeeee! :D

2) Landscape
Critique: This picture would've been better if I showed more road.

3) Nature
Critique: There shouldn't be too much cement in the picture because it's not "natural" anymore. But I chose this because of the aesthetic purposes. That space can be used to put all the emo quotes & stuff, LOL!

4) Self-Portrait
Critique: This is taken by the teacher actually, because I asked him some questions regarding my camera hehehe.. I thought self-portrait means camwhore (why am I so dumb, seriously =.=), but I don't really camwhore so I just put this picture up. It would've been better if I cropped it.

5) Isolate a single subject
Single Subject
Critique: Isolate means focused on one object, so it would have been better if everything behind (all the grass & cement) was out of focus.

6) Show details from foreground to infinity
Foreground to infinity
Critique: I forgot, hahaha!

Here are some of the other pictures I took:

This is my teacher, Mr Peter Yeo! He is the only teacher teaching this IS module since it is first introduced. He also teaches in one of my dream school -  the School of Film & Media Studies.

This is part of the new Blk 73 that is newly opened this year!

Stalking people dancing... Hahaha!

Cleaner auntie arranging the chairs outside of Munch, the new canteen.

People going back home yet I still have class o(╥﹏╥)o

Teacher said this nature shot was ok, but quite boring.

People from Power 98FM recording something.

Some random shot.

Really nice guy allowed me to take a picture of him. Teacher said this self-portrait picture is not bad, but would've been better if there wasn't the background (railings & the things behind it).

Zebra crossing near Makan Place, FMS and Convention Centre.

Random artsy fartsy photo of the stairs at Blk 73.

That's all for this post! If you have any comments or critique regarding the pictures that can help me improve for the better, do comment or drop me an e-mail. Also, if you're a Nikon D90 user yourself, teach me some of your tips and tricks to operating the camera. Greatly appreciated, and Happy Christmas Eve everyone! Have a good day spent with your family & friends! (★^O^★)
Alas, we have come to the end of the blogging period for Omy.sg X Casio Baby-G's blogging campaign. I'll leave all the long, sentimental stuff to the end..

So, this is my last post for the blogging campaign. Which explains why I've decided to do something different - going to the streets and checking out the different styles people are wearing to match with their Casio watches!

Time is precious, so is style.

Wee Siong, Student.

Tell me about your style today.
"I'm dressed in a free-style because it's very comfortable."

Why did you choose this watch to match with your outfit?
"I wear this watch everyday actually. It matches with all my outfits."

Firdaus, Student.

Tell me about your style today.
"I'm wearing a sports attire as it is very relaxing."

Why did you choose this watch to match with your outfit?
"Because it is a very sporty kind of watch that matches with my outfit."

Raudha, Student.

Tell me about your style today.
"I randomly chose this outfit from my closet."

Why did you choose this watch to match with your outfit?
"I wear it everyday as it matches with whatever I am wearing."

Pei Rong, Student.
(Pei Rong was uncomfortable with me taking pictures of her. She was wearing a lacey black dress with a black cardigan.)

Tell me about your style today.
"I have school today, so that explains my outfit of the day."

Why did you choose this watch to match with your outfit?
"I wear this watch everyday as it is not only comfortable, but easy to match with."

Sadiath, Housewife.

Tell me about your style today.
"Actually I anyhow chose my outfit today. I tend to dress low key as I've got cancer."

(Let's pray for her to get well!!! ╥﹏╥)

Why did you choose this watch to match with your outfit?
"I like the watch I am wearing. I wear it everyday because it matches with everything I wear. Also, it helps me to keep track of the time."

Therefore in conclusion, it is proven that Casio watches are easy to match with and is good for everyday wear! ヾ(@^∇^@)ノ

I then headed down to the G-Factory outlet at NEX shopping mall to ask Jess, the shop assistant there, some questions.

What is your personal opinion of the Casio watches?
"I find them very durable and there is a wide variety of designs. They're very trendy. The new G-Shock now comes in very big size!"

What would you recommend to people who are looking for a watch that is stylish yet good for everyday use?
"For the Baby-G, I would personally recommend the classic designs. But of course, if you are looking for something that is more stylish, you can go for our latest models and the illuminator range (look at the picture above). They are our best sellers. As for the G-Shock, I would recommend our latest models because they are the largest amongst all of the other models "

Can you share some tips on how I can take care of my Baby-G watch?
"You can slightly wash it with plain water. It is water resistant, so there should be no problem."

Amidst all that talk about Casio watches, here's my outfit of the day!

Truth to be told, I've thought about giving up and producing really lousy posts because the other bloggers are really good and popular. That was why I had the mentality of "Aiyah.. I also won't win one. Work so hard for what?" even right at the start. Thankfully, I had you awesome people - friends, strangers, readers, family etc., who supported me. Because of your encouragements, I hanged on. I dedicated my time in coming up with blog posts because I know that you'll be reading it, so I must not let all of you down.

I want to thank you people again and again if you have voted for me. Of course, words and the presents I'm going to give away cannot express my gratitude enough. Also, I want to thank the people who made this campaign possible, and for picking me to be one of the top 10 finalists. I've made many new friends, and got to know who are really the true friends that care for me. It has been a wonderful process, showcasing what I wear in this little space.

Thank you guys for the experience and love, and I'll see you all at http://iisjong.blogspot.com! O(≧∇≦)O

Don't stop voting for me at http://contests.omy.sg/baby-g/ alright! I hope one of you can walk away with the watch. Voting ends on 21 December 2011, 2359!

One last "THANK YOU!" to all of you! *Hugs & Kisses* ♡(*´∀`*)人(*´∀`*)♡
It's Christmas next week, are you all excited!? ♡(*´∀`*)人(*´∀`*)♡

Besides all the yummy food you'll be eating, the present's you'll be receiving etc., there will sure to be lots of Christmas parties and gatherings! So here's the big problem: What to wear? 【・_・?】

Since it's Christmas, I suggest you keep it comfortable yet stylish with a unique touch and charm at the same time.

Try to 'wrap' yourself up since it's been raining everyday, but do be careful to not dress up to the extent that you feel suffocated! Wear something that's good for both the hot and the cold, because of the crazy weather changes in Singapore.

Here's one of the outfits that I'll be donning in:

Beanie: edc by Esprit
Sweater: ViVi inspired, Bugis Lvl 2
Dress with tutu bottom: Bugis Lvl 1
Leggings: Giordano
Shoes: Mum bought it from Hong Kong
Ring: *Scape Flea Market
Watch: Baby-G BGA-200PD-4B
Bag: Adidas

Why I chose to match it like that:

- I wanted go for simplicity.

- The beanie served as a head accessory, adding to the Winter feel.

- I love the sweater at the first glance because it was simple yet the colour was really striking and it looks so cute! ヽ(*≧ω≦)ノ

- Underneath the sweater is actually a lacey dress with a really cute tutu bottom. With the sweater on, I look like I'm wearing a tutu skirt! TIP: At times when I feel warm, I can take out the sweater.

- I would recommend people to go for stockings instead of leggings actually, because leggings tend to make your legs feel really warm and uncomfortable if you're going to warm places! (。┰ω┰。)

- Grab your matching accessories and shoes, and you're good to go~

Since it's the Season of Joy, try to go for the 'Christmas Festive Season' colours - Red, White, Green, Gold and Silver. Do be careful not to put on too many accessories and end up looking like a Christmas Tree!

Anyway, want to see something cool?

Google "Let it snow" and your search page will really "snow"! (ノ゚0゚)ノ~

I hope you've enjoyed this post!
☆*:.。. o(≧▽≦)o .。.:*☆ Merry Christmas & A Happy New Year everyone!

In the midst of all the joy and giving, do remember to vote for me as a "Christmas present"! :P

Voting is ending soon, so visit http://contests.omy.sg/baby-g/ and vote for 'Joey Ong' (first row, fourth from the left)! Thank you very much! (◕‿◕✿)
