That's all for my April! It's the 31st of May today, so I hope you guys end May awesomely. Half a year is gone already, mai gawd Y SO FAST!?
Earlier this month, I was at the movie premiere of Din Tao.

Din Tao is a movie that you might want to catch in the cinemas this weekend. This Taiwanese movie is the highest grossing film in the box office during the Chinese New Year period in Taiwan a few months back. Despite being a low-budget production, it was a smash when the film was released!

Photobucket
This film is based on the true story of the Chio-Tian Folk Drums & Arts Troupe. It describes a group of rambunctious dropouts who turn over new leaves under the tutelage of the troupe master. They help to breathe new life into traditional din-tao folk performance art, bringing it from Taiwan’s temples (where it is often performed by homeless youths who may be gang members) to the international stage.

You can take a look at the trailer here:

My Say:

I have heard a lot about this movie from the Taiwanese variety show, 100% Entertainment, a few months back. Never did I expect it to be shown here in Singapore. I was definitely excited for it!

One thing that I love about the Taiwanese is their one-of-a-kind heartwarming films that people can relate to, and how they prefer keeping to their unique culture in their movies. For those who are unfamiliar with Din Tao, it is a traditional Taiwanese ritual performed to express gratitude towards the Gods at different religious festivals.

If you are someone who is interested to find out more about the Taiwanese culture, this is a not to be missed movie that combines tradition with modern creativity that will leave your tears rolling and nose runny (prepare your tissues!)
If you aren't, then you will probably think that the film is long-winded and feel a little lost, maybe even bored.

I felt that the main character Alan Kuo was very suitable for the role as we all know the singer (I love his songs btw!) by his rocker attitude, and this might just be his big break. The script was well written; emotional, educational and left many tickled at the same time. It's something that I look for in a movie. As for the acting department, it fared pretty well. I especially love the ending!
However, I felt that the middle part of the film dragged on for quite a bit. Also, there were some dialogues where the actors spoke in Hokkien. I am not a Hokkien-lang, so I struggled for quite a bit there.

Overall, it was a very good movie experience for me and I loved it! Oh alright, partly it's also because my eye candies Alan Kuo and Alien Huang are inside ♡^▽^♡

Photobucket
Thank you Hong Peng for the invitation!

Din Tao (陣頭) : Leader Of The Parade will be showing in cinemas from 31 May 2012. Do take note that it's rated PG-13 and runs for 123 minutes!
That's right!

The Taiwanese pop idol and Princess of Idol Dramas, Ariel Lin, is the new brand ambassador for KOSE SEKKISEI. Personally, I LOVE the dramas with her in it; they're just FANTASTIC! She's such a great actress, my inspiration \(*T▽T*)/

Photobucket
Ariel Lin will be making her way down to our little red dot at the KOSE Roadshow @ Tampines Mall Atrium to meet her fans, and to share the secret to her beauty regime + how she plays her part in saving the earth!

The event will be held this weekend, 2 & 3 June, from 3pm to 5pm. Popular Mediacorp host Lee Teng will be there to emcee the event!

Photobucket
Not only that, there's a special treat for early birds! The first 500 people at the roadshow will get mini products from KOSE. There will also be games for you guys to win attractive KOSE products. I don't know what they are, but I'm definitely all ready to show the kiasu side of me and chiong down to get them!

Here are some really nice pictures of her for KOSE SEKKISEI that I thought you would like to see. Good things must share, right? d(-_^)

Save the Blue with us! Get the SEKKISEI Lotion and/or Travel Set at your nearest KOSE store from 1 June - 31 July to do your part to Save the Coral Reefs. More information about that can be found in my previous post here: http://iisjong.blogspot.com/2012/05/ariel-lin-x-kose-sekkisei-introduction.html

You can visit KOSE Singapore's Facebook page here: https://www.facebook.com/kosesingapore
How many of you guys here know that THERE ARE ACTUALLY CORAL REEFS IN SINGAPORE!?  *hands up* Oh alright, I raised my hands up sheepishly as I didn't know about it until only recently.

That's right, you didn't read wrongly. Coral reefs can be found skirting many of the islands south of mainland Singapore, like St John's island for example. However, these coral reefs are slowly disappearing due to the threats of land reclamation o(╥﹏╥)o

Well, someone has got to do something! Thankfully, KOSE started the Save the Blue Project, an environmental initiative to protect the world's fast depleting coral reefs. This campaign first began off the Japanese island of Okinawa, and now it has expanded to Singapore!

Photobucket
AND OMG GUYS, GUESS WHAT!?!?!? Oh alright, judging from the picture and the blog title, you should already know that the new SEKKISEI Brand Ambassador is none other than my all-time favourite artiste, Ariel Lin! *pops champagne*

She will be part of this Save the Blue Campaign and will be *ahem* coming down to Singapore! Are you excitedddd like I am? More details in my next post alright (≧∇≦)/

Photobucket
Starting from 1 June to 31 July 2012, the Save the Blue limited edition SEKKISEI lotion and Travel Set will be up for sale in KOSE SEKKISEI stores!

For every purchase of Save the Blue Limited Edition SEKKISEI Lotion (360ml) and/or SEKKISEI Travel Set, KOSE will donate part of the proceeds to Tropical Marine Science Institute, NUS, for the research, education and conservation efforts of Singapore's coral reefs.

Not many people know this, but my favourite colour is blue because I love the sky and the ocean as they represent serenity. I don't know about you, but I always talk about wanting to do my part to save the Earth. And this is how I can; you should join in too! You might not see the difference, but these small efforts that you do is actually a huge contribution to someone else.

Photobucket
This is how the packaging of the Save the Blue Limited Edition SEKKISEI Lotion looks like. I really love the design! It's no wonder people say "a picture speaks a thousand words".

Photobucket
Did you know?

The hexagonal bottle is designed like the shape of snow flake. Also, the dark blue colour was selected in order to produce a clear image on the whiteness of snow at a ski resort, reflecting the moonlight on a pitch-dark night!

It will be retailing in stores for $121.

Photobucket
This is how the packaging of Save the Blue Limited Edition SEKKISEI Travel Set looks like.

Photobucket
These are the products in the travel set. It consists of the SEKKISEI Lotion, SEKKISEI White Powder Wash, SEKKISEI Emulsion and SEKKISEI Cream Excellent.

For this set, it's retail price is $209. BUT WAIT, HOLD ON.... Good news for you guys is that there will be a special promotional price of $142 till 31 July 2012! YAY  \(@ ̄∇ ̄@)/

So what are you guys waiting for? Join in the queue for better skin and to Save the Blue, leggo!

Thanks to the people at Casio, I got to have dinner at Red Dot Brewery located at Dempsey together with them! Just nice that day I went down to collect my camera so I got to try it out during the dinner. Thankfully I got help from the staff and fellow bloggers to teach me some tricks I didn't know about the camera!

Yes, all photos in this post are taken with the Casio Exilim ZR20. Please pardon me if the pictures are not that fantastic yet; nobody takes good pictures with their new cameras ok!

Photobucket
So to kick start my journey with the ZR20 and being the noob that I am with this camera, this picture was taken in the Auto mode. I found the picture clarity and focusing not that bad for a compact camera.

This is side track but I like the beer there, it's hand made and very smooth!

Photobucket
This is William and Hong Peng. They are bloggers for Casio ZR20 too! ヽ(^▽^)人(^▽^)人(^▽^)ノ

Photobucket
The shy Casio staff hahaha!
So sorry for the bad lighting because I'm still using auto mode, totally forgot about that there is a High Speed Night mode in this camera =.=

Photobucket
Mirai is also a blogger for Casio, but for the TR150 (super awesome and hot selling camwhore camera that even celebrities want it!), and that's the "boss" beside her \(@ ̄∇ ̄@)/

Photobucket
This is Kelly who is also part of the campaign, and the remaining staff.

Photobucket
The Casio ZR20 takes rather fine pictures in Auto mode with or without lighting.

Photobucket

Photobucket
This photo is taken with the Food mode. One thing I like about the Casio Exilim ZR20 is that the flash wasn't too harsh! Don't believe me? Then check out the following food pictures below. But don't salivate too much at the pictures, I know you're hungry like I am hehehe..

I would recommend taking pictures of food in natural sunlight or in places with really strong lighting though, so that there won't be flash light, making your food look even more yummy!

Photobucket
Hong Peng recommended me this mode in Light Tone. It's one of his favourite Best Shot function modes in the ZR20. I can see why; it gives a really dreamy and relaxed feel to it, which is really great for camwhoring!

You can choose it to be yellow, cyan or magenta in colour. This is in yellow.

Photobucket
All of us together! (★^O^★)

Photobucket
This is the Slide Panorama mode which a Casio staff played with on my camera.

You know how sometimes a shot is too horizontal for you to capture everything? That is when this mode comes in handy! Can you see how wide the camera managed to capture? Not only that, it's easy to use, just pan from left to right. The camera will stitch multiple photos together to form a panorama. I look forward to exploring this mode more!

Photobucket
Potato naaaaaaaaa~ The potato wedges look so yummy here!

Photobucket
This photo looks clearer now, because I discovered the Premium Auto mode. Everything looks so much better in this mode, and I heard that it's Make Up mode too! Super good for girls, especially me since I've been having bad skin days o(╥﹏╥)o

The Premium Auto mode is a highly accurate image analysis that makes it possible to configure only the required settings and perform the required processes only when they are needed. The camera will automatically select the mode and take the best shot!

Photobucket
Playing with the Light Tone mode again! I would recommend you use it when you're under the sun, the effect would be nicer.

Photobucket
Great and relaxed night for all of us (ღ˘⌣˘ღ) ♫・*:.。. .。.:*・

Photobucket
I like how the flash manages to spread to the back too. I don't like some that just concentrates on one thing until I can't see the back clearly!

Photobucket
Mirai & I smiling with our potato wedges!

Once again, I really really love the flash lah! It's not harsh at all, as you can see, our make up don't look so cakey. Y U SO AWESOME *.*

Photobucket
Here's another thing that I learnt!

Now you don't see me......

Photobucket
Now you do!

You can create a Dynamic Photo Image in the Casio ZR20! In the camera the object seems like it's moving, but when you check it in your computer, it's just lots of pictures combined together.

All right, that's all for this post! I've got more interesting posts coming up now that I got the hang of this camera, so stay tuned! (((o(*゚▽゚*)o)))
