If you've been following me on Instagram (@iisjong), you should know that I post pictures of my Outfit of The Day pretty often. Just like any other girl, I love wearing pretty clothes because somehow, they make me feel more confident about myself.

Talking about clothes, the lovely girls from myfashionaffair recently sent me 2 pieces from their Collection 3: Summer Vacation, and I am head over heels in love with them! *.*

If you didn't know, they just started to co-manufacture their clothes! Yippee! I love how the clothes are so exclusive and versatile; you can wear it as a top or a dress to different occasions, like a casual day out or a girly gathering, without worrying about someone wearing the same thing as you!

Out of so many pretty dresses, I chose this Printed Crest Dress in Red Abstract in the end. It is simple, yet it shouts loud and fun! I looked very feminine in it; my mother approved! Hahaha :D

One thing I am very particular about when I wear a dress is being safe and don't zao geng. There's a lot of perverts around nowadays, say real one (girls, be careful of yourselves!)

I am pleased with the inner lining of the dress! It is not too sheer, and feels comfortable at the same time.

You know that a dress is not of lousy quality by looking at the zipper. Mine zips up and down well. Zip away ALL my fats!

Here's me wearing the dress! Tip: Wear a belt to look slimmer!

(Hidden) Hairband from Daiso
Silver Bracelet from a friend
Colourful Mickey Bracelet from a friend
Belt from Bugis Street
Bling Bling Shoes from Hong Kong

It is very light weight, so you don't have to worry about suffocating in hot Singapore weather so much.

The next pretty piece is the Zest Top in Sun Glow! I like wearing bright colours nowadays. They have 3 colours altogether, the other 2 are Jassberry Jam and Shamrock Green.

I love the details of this top! The collars don't start from the centre; that's awesome because it's not uncomfortably hugging my neck tightly.

I also love how stretchable it is! Everything seems well made and the buttons are very pretty.

Here's me wearing the top! Yellow like my kiutee Weelakoomah! ^_^

Cardigan from Giordano Ladies
Jeans from Levi's
Straw Shoes from Hong Kong

Pose some more! Hahaha~

I love the bottom part; it makes the top loose on the top. Don't have to worry about tummy showing, woohoo!

Anyway, Collection 4: A Little Different is up yesterday! Here's what you can expect :

Love sparrow designs? It is now available in a more simple chic casual design. Fly Away Drawstring Top in 2 colours!

Brighten up your office attire with this classic pleated Katie Peplum Top in 5 different colours!

Feel like getting some special yet simple? Rock It Up Top in 2 rocking shades!

Lastly, my favourite piece! They are bringing back the galaxy trend, but in a more casual style. Back To Galaxy Top, available in 2 galatic colours!

Anyway, I went to do my hair yesterday.

From this, now I look like.....

This.

Actually it's nothing much. My curls are temporary, so I woke up to not-here-not-there hair this morning. Surprise! T^T It's a brighter shade of brown now. Actually I wanted a crazy colour, but I might be getting some acting projects, so must keep my hair safe...

At least I haz nice touched up hair to go Macau! Can take more chio pictures, lol.

I've been having a fringe (bangs to be exact) most of my life, so now it's time for a change. Since it's the 7th Month in the Lunar Calendar (stay safe people!), showing forehead got the "light" I think. Heard it somewhere before. Also, birthday is next week so I am getting more mature now.

Actually, not really. I am determined to get a Rilakkuma cake. If anyone got good lobang for my Rila cake/cupcake, email me! ;)

Anyway, my hairstylist is Stella from DA Hairdressing at Far East Plaza. Been doing my hair with her for a few years now! It is not sponsored, but just sharing in case you want to know. Of course, I WELCOME HAIR SPONSORS WITH OPEN HANDS AND A BIG HUG! Lai lai lai, come to me~ Every few months do my hair very expensive you know, hahaha!
Since young, I frequent Cantonese restaurants very often since my mum's side of the family are Cantonese. Cantonese cuisine is definitely one of my favourites because most of the food are steamed or stir fried, so normally the finished dish is healthy, well balanced and not greasy! Surprisingly, they may look simple, but the taste is really flavourful.

Recently, a group of bloggers and I were invited to a food tasting at Canto Kitchen located in Chinatown.

What is Canto Kitchen?
Canto Kitchen started it's business in 2009 which was first headed by a cantonese chef who brought in a lot of delectable Cantonese dishes into the menu. A Malaysian chef took over and brought in his specialties like fish head curry to compliment the old menu.

Canto Kitchen is well known for it's reasonable and affordable prices for it's extensive menu and use only the freshest ingredients to prepare the dishes. It is only the air conditioned restaurant in the entire People's Park Complex to cater the humid weather in Singapore. With the combination of both chefs, Canto Kitchen now serves a wide variety of dishes to satisfy the taste buds of food savvy Singaporeans.

Each of us took a picture outside the restaurant before we headed inside. Thank you Mr Photographer for the picture! ;)

We were given a private room specially reserved for us to dine in. It looks like we're attending some wedding dinner, hahaha!

This is Sherbert, the Administrator of Canto Kitchen, and our host for the day. Thank you for being so informative, kind and patient with us!

And so, we started our meal! Time to sek fahn (Bon Appetit in Cantonese)!

Braised Shark's Fins with Fish Maw

Yes people, the shark's fin is real! As we all know, this is a popular Cantonese delicacy. I found the portion very generous, and there's a variety of ingredients inside. I spotted prawns, carrot and fish maw, on top of many more.

Fried Prawns with Orange Sauce

I am a sucker for prawns, having eaten all sorts of them before. But this is the first time I'm trying it with orange sauce! Very innovative. When you first put it into your mouth, you first taste the orange, and then the taste of the prawn sets in. Surprisingly, the orange didn't taste sour at all.

Chinese Herbal Roasted Duck

Another favourite of mine is duck, so my "standard" for it is very high. We had 2 ducks combined together specially for us. I loved how the meat was tender, and the herbal taste from the duck wasn't overwhelming. Simply said, it was good!

Home Made Bean Curd with Conpoy

The tofu was smooth and soft, very suitable for all ages to eat! The broccoli and the mushroom were fresh and not too hard. Add more of the sauce, and they taste really good together.

Steamed Cod Fish with Chef' Sauce

This is the signature dish, and I'm sure there's no need to ask why! The first thing everyone said when the dish was laid on the table: "WOAH IT SMELLS DAMN GOOD!" because of all the chilli and garlic. Despite that, the taste was not too overwhelming and spicy. Fish wise, there's no fishy taste that lingers. Very soft!

Poached Spinach with Whole Garlic and 3 Eggs

I've always loved this dish, and I loved how Canto Kitchen prepared it too! I don't really like eating vegetables, but this dish always trick me in a way. I like eating the eggs and the spinach together to minimise the taste of the spinach in a way?

Spare Ribs with Yam in "Zhen Jiang" Style

This was everyone's favourite, it's damn good! The meat was soft and it goes well with it's sauce. Also, the yam was crispy, very unexpected!

Garlic Steamed Crab with Glutinous Rice

This is my first time seeing a dish like this. I never thought that food like that can be put in small steamer baskets meant for Dim Sum! Food wise, I never expected crab and glutinous rice to go well together. I don't like glutinous rice, but this was not the overly sticky kind that I'm not a fan of.

Chilled Mango with Pamelo

And we also had desserts! I love love love this dessert so much, I order it practically all the time. Honestly, this is one of the best out of all the others I've eaten! It was not sour or overly watery. Just... Nice!

And here's a group picture of all the bloggers! :D

If you remember about my post about DealPrimo (read it here: http://iisjong.blogspot.sg/2012/08/do-you-love-deals.html), you should remember me hinting about a post coming up on 7Adam, one of the merchants.

Well, the post is here! Me so eggciteeeeee to share this wonderful place with you guys! *scream*

Photobucket
Tucked away in Adam Park, I've wondered what this monochrome-themed place was every time my bus past it on my bus ride home from school. Initially, I thought that it was just another bungalow just like the others surrounding it just that it's on top of a hill. Thanks to the invitation from the DealPrimo team, I finally got my answer!

7Adam is a Gallery-Restaurant that mix the worlds of art and food. It features the works of art by local and regional artists which the public can buy and bring home. At the same time, they also serve really yummy modern European cuisine that leave people begging for more.

I frequent museums a lot, so that explained why I enjoyed my perambulate around the place thoroughly. It felt nice to be away from the buzzing city life I was used to. The ambience was great and relaxing; definitely a good place for fine dining and events.

If you've watched the Channel 8 drama 'Yours Fatefully' or better known as 《孤男寡女》, you should remember this scene when Kingone Wang put up pictures of Jessica Liu in a restaurant.

Yup, this is the place! I was jumping for joy inside when I saw this place! No wonder it looked so familiar at first sight.

Nice place to chill, no?

They also have their own outdoor space for those who want some fresh air.

Moving away from the beautiful interior of the restaurant, it's time to fill our hungry tummies!

All the food shown below will be in the promotion on  https://www.dealprimo.com/, but not in their actual menu. All of them are the chef's fusion cuisine creations. It is a 5-course set menu.

We were served by none other than the staff at 7Adam - Ratchmat, Angus and Adam!

Amuse Bouche

It's actually fried oysters! I like it because the gooey taste coming from the oyster was not very strong.

Black Truffle Broth

It has a very herbal taste. Truffle is actually a high grade mushroom. They took 2 days to soak it! For some miraculous reason, my sore throat that day seemed better because it's very soothing to the throat. I feel healthier!

House Cured Salmon

It's something like sashimi, just that it's not cooked. It's soft and very smooth; not too salty, just the way I like it! I have to add that the cream is lightly sweet and complements the salmon well.

Foie Gras

Now, to be honest I've never eaten foie gras before! This was pretty decent for a first timer like me. Pardon me if I sound very ignorant, but I was surprised that it's very, very soft! It looks like meat on the outside. Eat it with the biscuit and the sauce, and you have heaven in your mouth.

Unagi Pasta

When this dish was first laid on the table, my impression was: OMG IT SMELLS DAMN GOOD LAH! It's surprisingly really appetizing, the sauce was really good and unique. The unagi was soft and the noodles were very bouncy and "Q". I like how the chef added fish roe. It adds the fun side to the dish!

Beef Pasta

Like the Unagi Pasta, the noodles were bouncy and I love the addition of the fish roe. I like the meat because I am a meat eater, rawr!

Red Drum Popilotte

At first this dish wasn't cut in the middle, so for a minute I wondered: "What is this? Are we seriously going to eat paper?" until Adam cut open and revealed the fish inside. I learnt that the fish was wrapped up in paper so as to keep the taste of the fish after that. I am not really a big fan of fish, but it was quite flavourful!

Angus Tenderloin

I don't really eat beef like that, but this was not bad. According to the chef's theory, it is kept in boiling water of 55 degrees so that it won't be overcooked. It's not very hard because it's medium done. The vegetables you see there? It's a hybrid of broccoli and kai lan vegetable! Yes, definitely imported because it's hard to find these kind in Singapore.

Kurobuta Pork Belly

This is THE bomb! My favourite dish out of everything. It's the signature dish, and I can see why. The pork literally melts in your mouth! What sorcery is this! It is braised for 2 days, cooked in Japanese soy. You have to reserve in advance if you want to eat this. I LOVE THIS DISH TO BITS, ENOUGH SAID!

Chocolate Fondant

I have a sweet tooth, and I must have my desserts! I love all things chocolate and ice cream, so you can imagine my delight when this was served. The vanilla ice cream was really good, and the moment you cut the chocolate lava cake, out bursts out the chocolate!

Yup, like this! Super oishii!*raises both thumbs up* (Y)

Creme Brulee

The sweetness was just right, not overly sweet. It was very creamy and thick! It tasted a little bit like egg tarts I would say? There's this crispy layer on the top, I like!

Trio of Tiramisu

Lastly, we were served the tiramisu. This is definitely not your ordinary tiramisu! I'm not a fan of coffee, but I enjoyed eating this!

Served in a martini glass, it was the chef's sudden creation. Very innovative, I must applaud! You have to dip  the biscuit all the way down to taste the espresso.

No, we're not food! Introducing to you, the Primo Bloggers and DealPrimo team! All the pretty babes and handsome dudes ;) *winkwink*
