A huge Thank You to many of you who were interested in my pictures, tweets and first post on Derma-Rx (DRx) Clinic! This is the second post; I hope that you will find it informative.

If you haven't read Part 1, read it here: http://iisjong.blogspot.sg/2012/12/my-battle-with-acne.html

Soooooo! I made my first visit to Derma-Rx (DRx) Clinic on the 30th of November 2012. Waited around 30 minutes for my turn, which was pretty reasonable, considering the fact that the clinic was crowded on a Friday afternoon. Waiting area was clean, you can grab water to quench your thirst or read some magazines while waiting.

As it was my first visit, I remember being pleasantly surprised when I was asked to fill in my information for sign up. There was this part on the form that asked for my preferred name. Even though this was something minor, but I felt that it was very attentive of them. If your name is "Batman Bin Suparman" (real Singaporean name btw), can you imagine how embarrassing it would be for your name to be called out loud?

When it was finally my turn, my consultant, Coryn, brought me over to Dr David Ng's consultation room. He looked like this:

Dr David has been on tv programs, radio and even print to share more about DRx Clinic! He was nice and patient towards me as he explained the procedures and answered to my many doubts. He assessed my face condition, explaining what he had in mind.

After the consultation with Dr David, I was brought into another consultation area where Coryn explained how am I suppose to use the prescribed products. She was present during our conversation, so she knew what was suitable for me. I thought that was impressive! Many places just hand the products over to you without much explaining.

I did a vlog, reviewing the products I was prescribed to:

I was then brought into another room for self-shots. I know they're private and confidential, but I never want to see them because I must have looked really bad, hehehehe!

After the whole process, I went to the counter for collection of products. They made sure I double check the items before I left. 1 week after my visit, I received a call from the clinic checking on my condition, asking how everything was so far. I FELT SO LOVED! *.*
I know it might be too soon to say this, but I love DRx Clinic already! They give you the feeling of being taken care of. Mortimer Collins once said: "A man is as old as he's feeling, a woman as old as she looks." Beauty starts with healthy looking skin, and I am on my way.

Here's cheers to good skin, all you beautifuls! ;D

  1. Hi, are you sponsored by them to write this post?

    1. It's a yes or a no question.
Because you have to look at us I mean students are entrusting their money to you to go to a expensive clinic. If you are sponsored. than no big deal it happens. BUT let's say a student spend all his savings there and it doesn't work than by not answering this question.... you just help a young guy spend all his savings down the drain.

    2. yes, I am, but I hope that people relate to it as my true experience, and not let their views get affected because I am sponsored. for matters of the skin, it may work for some, but it doesnt mean that it work for all. like you can see, my skin is improving but not so quick as expected. it can be because of my sleeping habits, the things i eat, how lazy i am etc. as a student, yes, I understand your woes! but anonymous, let me tell you, seeking a doctor would be better in my point of view because they know what they are doing.

if you need any help, feel free to email me. I can get you free consultations and you go check out the place, see for yourself. i can also go down to the clinic with you and speak to the in charge if you want to, see what can be done to help you, i'll share everything i know with you. i cannot guarantee anything, but what i am trying to say is that it did work for me and many other people. i know because i've done my research before jumping in. so ya, i hope this answers your doubts. let me know ok! ;)

  2. What is the best acne mark treatments
or product that clears skin fast and doesn't dry skin.
