If you haven't already heard, the Minions from Despicable Me 2 are set to invade Singapore! Their current location is at The Cathay. *cue spy music*

Thanks to all the Gods there are that I am a CNOS Blogger - I got the privilege to witness the entire Minion Invasion, right from the set-up all the way to the preview of the movie! :')

Believe it or not, it all started from this little red bag!

Minions don't to face palms because it's too mainstream; they do floor palms.

If you think it's easy work, think again. Lots of behind-the-scenes hard work involved!

While the rest were inflating the Minion, Don and I also inflated in terms of squeals. TOO CUTE! We worked very hard too, taking pictures that is ;P

Btw, the Minion looks like Overly Attached Girlfriend, no?

Instruction manual for the cardboard Character Standees set-up. I've always thought that it was all done nicely and provided for, all they had to do was to display it!

Jeng Jeng! Minion Invasion: Complete.

Yes, I really wish you were!

If you would like to take a photo with the Giant Minion, it will be at Cathay Cineleisure Orchard’s Basement 1 to meet you from 8 to 28 July. This is the ONLY ONE IN SINGAPORE, exclusively at Cathay Cineleisure Orchard.

Remember to tag @cineleisure in your photos and videos!

I recorded down the whole process of the setup. I hope that you'll find it informative! ;)

Am thankful for the opportunity to catch Despicable Me 2 preview in 3D on the 25th of June! Normally movie sequels are not as good as the original, but I can tell you honestly that Despicable Me 2 was definitely on par.

Even though there are many mixed reviews, but one thing's for sure - we all agree that it was a brilliant and light-hearted movie. I felt that Despicable Me 2 was rather fast-paced, but it got the audience laughing out loud throughout the film! The Minions were so punny!

Super cute Minion 3D glasses, yellow like a banana!

I was drawn into the colourful and cheerful animations, which is one of the things I look for in a film. It got me smiling and feeling positive about life when I stepped out of the movie theatre. The humour in the film is something both the adults and kids can appreciate, a silly film that never ceases to be entertaining and knows how to capture the audience's attention.

Don't expect too much from this film though! There are no major mind-boggling twists and story lines to it. There were also nothing memorable in particular in my opinion, except the last part when the minions sang... Well, just sit back and enjoy the fun and laughter!

I can haz Despicable Me 2 goodies too! ;D

The kids have grown up, they know how to love and to kick ass. Gru also stopped being so grumpy and learnt to open up his heart and find his true desires. I wish he was my dad! I loved the minions, they were as lovable as ever. I'll definitely be catching this amazing film again when it officially releases in July. You're never too old for Despicable Me 2. *winks*

Catch Despicable Me 2 at Cathay Cineplexes today!
Thanks to Caren from CaraMabes.com, I got to experience strutting down the catwalk in front of a huge audience on the 27th of April! Never really thought that something like that would happen to me, lol.

Anyway, Caren took part in the StylePlus Fashion Showcase contest organized by Bugis+, and I was chosen as one of her models. I was paired up with Jasmine! You might remember her from CNOS2. We are the youngest pair under her. (☆^ー^☆)

There were a lot of preparations involved:
1) Had to go down to Bugis+ for outfit choosing and fitting
2) Off to Caren's house for rehearsals
3) Full rehearsals at Bugis+ itself

This is the video of our preparation. Watch the last part as I dance to Psy's "Gentleman", hahaha!

At the fashion show itself! I'm the last, or sixth in line to come out.

First Look

Loved the outer blouse I was wearing, I mean, look at those sleeves! So quirky! Was ecstatic to have Weelakoomah join me during my walk. I must also add I loved the makeup that Irene, the makeup artiste, did for me!

Cat ears (Neko) hairband from ShopJello (https://www.facebook.com/ShopJello).

Second Look

Very pretty dress that I wish I can bring home. Anyway, look at the insane amount of people... Luckily I managed to pull it through! I heard that feedback from the audience was not bad, some saying I was very cutesy and bouncy when I walk.

Jong - Runway Model in the making maybe? ;P

Looking at the title of this post, yup, that is what the Levi's X Liberty London Collection is all about!

The Levi's brand and Liberty London have something in common - a rich history of designing iconic clothing. This Spring, they will collaborate in a collection that marries uncompromised craftsmanship and heritage. LADIES, REJOICE! ;D

While one is steeped in classic American style, the other has built a design legacy from the artistic and creative melting pot that is London.

For the first time, the new Levi's® X Liberty London collaboration collection is as honest, frank and earnest as the path that brought the two brands together. Oh, and did you know? The Liberty prints have been designed exclusively for this collection. The silhouettes designed by the Levi's® brand have been pulled from the archives and interpreted to reflect the trends of today.

The hero print from the collection is called Carlin. It is inspired by a print in the Liberty archive from the 1970s! The print design of painterly garden flowers was drawn with watercolour pencils and put into repeat design to create a painted, colourful, and flowing floral.

The design is named after the Levi’s designer Jenny Carlin who worked on the collection.

The other print in the collection is the Kerr Bandana. The design is inspired by a painting from the Liberty archive that dates back to the late 1940s! ;O

It has got both floral and Pointillist in its appearance. The Levi’s and Liberty design teams originally redesigned the Kerr Bandana print as a bandana design with a border, and then took the elements to laser burn the pattern onto the denim. The denim is then garment finished using an innovative laser technique to apply the design to the indigo.

Here's what caught my eyes, and how I would match them in my own interpretation!
Capture attention and turn heads with the Mini Tank Dress! This sleeveless tank shift dress features a Carlin print skirt with a sewn-in contrasting chambray body. I love how it looks like a two-piece outfit when it's actually just one. Would definitely be a great conversation topic!

I would match this dress with a pair of wedge boots for a simple girl-next-door style.
I am totally digging the Western Shirt! For my own style, I would get it in a bigger size than usual so that it looks like a dress, then match it with a pair of cute tattoo leggings and sneakers for the kawaii style.
Great for Singapore's weather is the Bustier Top! I would match this with a pair of skinny jeans and biker jacket for the edgy style. Wear a pair of heels to complete the look.

Here's the lookbook that the people from Levi's and Liberty London came up with. I hope you get some fashion inspirations from it, and screaming "OMG I WANT THIS! WAHHHH I WANT THAT!" inside of you because I am!

The Levi’s X Liberty London Collection features 11 pieces including the iconic 501 jean shorts, Trucker vest, a bustier and a small collection of covetable accessories ranging in prices from SGD$189.90 to SGD$399.90. The collection will be available at Levi’s Lady’s stores (313@somerset #01-21,Bugis Junction #01-25/25A, Vivocity #01-191) in late June.

It's been so hazy in Singapore lately, with the PSI hitting 400 just a few days ago! I was dressed to cover myself up from the dust and smell when I went over to Myntefingers to get a manicure. Psst... Quote my name to get $2 off Gel Manicure this July! *winks*

This is my Beat The Haze OOTD! I put on the same One Pocket Shirt and Low Demi Curve Skinny Jeans I got from the Levi's Spring/Summer Collection; but with a twist.

Instead of buttoning the One Pocket Shirt up, I chose to wear it as an outerwear. Tied it up halfway for a more feminine look.

I chose to wear a Halter Neck Blouse from Ness on the inside because the print on the buttons matches with the shirt!

Loving my  Low Demi Curve Skinny Jeans in pink. It's so comfortable!

Wedges Shoes from dad. He got it for me in China.

This is my mum's Levi's Watch! It is not working anymore, but I love the vintage feel to it so I use it for accessorizing purposes. There's no such thing as owning too many Levi's items, right?

Bag I got from South Korea.

When people think about Levi's, automatically they think about their jeans because they are known for it. For 140 years, Levi's produced quality jeans that are being worn from generations to generations.

But aside from jeans, did you know that they also have a wide range of accessories? I headed down to the Levi's stores at 313@Somerset and Raffles City Shopping Mall to check it out!

Levi's has a variety of shoe choices to choose from. From wedges to flats to sneakers to slippers, there will sure be something for you! I read online reviews, and there are people who loved the many designs. It was a great fit for most!

Shoes aside, there are also colourful socks from Levi's that I love! Match it with the Levi's shoes and you're good to go!

Admit it - belts are one of the little things that you cannot live without. I love the quality and design of the belts! I remember buying one for my boyfriend a few years back, and he's still using it everyday till today. Cheap, good looking and excellent quality! (Y)

It's so sunny in Singapore, a cap is a necessity for us, especially the ladies! Hide your face from the harmful UV rays, because sun block is not enough.

I wanted to pick out a cap but was so spoilt for choice because there are too many designs to pick from!

Big or small, Levi's have it all. Great thing is they're sturdy and they match most of the outfits you can find at the Levi's store!

That's all for this post! Now you know there's so much more to shop for at Levi's ;D *wink wink*
