Uluwatu Temple is one of the most famous cliff-hanging temples. It is also one of Bali's nine key directional temples. Many people flock here to admire the magnificent sunset.

You need to pay a fee before you can enter this place. There will be someone who will offer to bring you down a flight of stairs. I found it weird, since everyone was walking in the other direction. REJECT politely and tell them you want to follow the crowd.

Also, PLEASE beware of monkeys at all times! The temple is inhabited by a large amount of them. They are extremely wild and smart. Unknowingly, you might have your belongings grabbed because their actions are swift! Grip all belongings closely, and stow away eye-wear if possible.

Other than that, prepare your cameras. The view is breathtaking, I wish I could just sit and admire the view forever. I'm not too sure whether you can go down to the beach though!

This place is very big, be careful and stick close to the people you're with! As it is a temple, you are expected to dress decently and covered up. Sarongs are provided at the counter outside for free, but please remember to return!

Other than the noises of tourists and monkeys, the sound of the waves hitting the cliffs was soothing. The sea breeze also brushes the hair slightly. Perfect setting to end the day!

Uluwatu, I wanna go back!

Ever since I was little, I had this expensive obsession over Bird's Nest. HOW CAN SOMETHING THAT LOOKS SO PLAIN BE YUMMY AND NOURISHING!? My family knows it's one of my favourite food, and that is why I always get the bowl with the most bird's nest soup ;P

However, I am not THAT wealthy to afford drinking it everyday... BUT! Even though I cannot consume it daily, but there's one thing I can do - USE IT!

If you haven't noticed, bird's nest in products has been an increasingly popular trend in the world of beauty. Purer Skin is one skin care brand that jumped on the bandwagon!

Entirely made in Singapore, there is a miracle ingredient called Purer Source Bird’s Nest that can be found in each and every Purer Skin product. They contain 100% Pure Bird’s Nest which they farm from their very own Bird’s Nest Farms!

Using proprietary nanotechnology, the Bird’s Nest are converted into liquid fractions for use as a highly concentrated active ingredient that is easily absorbed by ourskin for maximum efficacy. Best thing is that it's free from Parabens and Sulphates, which means what you get is the highest quality product without unnecessary chemicals, and as nature intended!

Researchers have found that bird's nest can regenerate skin cells from Epidermal Growth Factor, improve skin quality, and enhance clarity and complexion.

The Purer Skin Symphony is a whole package of Purer Skin Products. It contains the Crème Cleanser, Clarifying Toner, Miracle Serum and Night Recovery.

Crème Cleanser

This is the first step of the skin regime. It provides gentle exfoliation, has a certifiable anti-wrinkle function and provides deep hydration.

You only need a small amount because it foams up gradually. A word of advice it to take note when you're pouring the product out from the tube because it flows out fast once you open the cap!

While I like that the lather is thick, it didn't give me the squeaky clean feel after washing off. The smell was fine though!

Clarifying Toner

Next, cleansing alone can leave skin exposed to the environment. Most toners tend to be drying, but with the power of Bird’s Nest, it ensures that skin stays protected and hydrated!

The clarifying toner is a spray, and I love it. Very convenient! You can spray it directly on your face when you're rushing, or on a cotton pad to wipe away the excess dirt. There was a slight stinging feel on my face after I use it though!

Miracle Serum

From what I know, this is their Star Product! This rich and luxurious formulation contains the highest concentration of Pure Bird’s Nest and is easily absorbed into the skin to deliver results in just 7 days. It is said to reduce fine lines and wrinkles, regrow younger skin and give deep hydration.

The dropper makes it hygienic when using this product, especially when your friends want to try it as well! You can see the slight bird's nest colour. My skin was able to absorb the product well! I suggest you to apply a thin layer more on your problematic areas.

Night Recovery

Light, yet luxurious, this Night Recovery Cream renews at night what the day takes away. It deeply penetrates the skin to replenish moisture and strengthen skin for lasting radiance and youth. This product gives you soft hydration for a more natural glow!

A night cream is to be used at night, obviously. An interesting thing I noticed - although it is a cream, there was no sticky after-feel to it. It also absorbs into my skin pretty quickly! The hydration was not too bad.

Purer Skin is available online at www.PurerSkin.com and selected 11 Watsons stores: ION Orchard, Parkway Parade, Bugis Junction, JEM, Ngee Ann City, Jurong Point, Marina Square, Vivocity, Raffles City, Toa Payoh (HDB) Hub, Compass Point.

I'm wearing a ring actually, but it can't be seen here... A friend hand-made it for me using nail polish, it's extremely colourful and too pretty! My top captured a lot of attention, but guess what! It's only $10!? Definitely a steal, I love the details! Neon yellow studs with colourful sewn strings on the sleeves. Oh, and hair is after my hair treatment at CLEO Hair & Make. So glad that it's back to shiny and straight!

Anyway, I will be taking my Basic Theory Test for driving tomorrow, then flying off to Myanmar on Friday. See you in October, Singapore! So excited for both, wish me good luck! x
I'll be frank with you - I didn't know that Padang-Padang Beach existed. I didn't watch the popular movie Eat, Pray, Love (I did read the book though) that brought this beach to fame ;X

In fact, Padang-Padang Beach wasn't in my Bali itinerary at all. So coincidentally, time was running out that day when I touring around Bali, so my tour guide/Bali driver suggested I visit this place instead!

This picturesque beach was like a hidden treasure. It was difficult to locate it at first since the beach was tucked away in a secluded area with a small entrance, down a flight of slippery stairs. It was intriguing how natural everything was, how this beach was behind a cave.

Though the beach was facing the gorgeous Indian Ocean, it did not have the lovely panoramic view I was anticipating. Also, it would've been pleasant to soak into the atmosphere if the already small beach was less crowded... The sea view was beautiful, but on the beach itself was not. Fine, white sand.. Where are you?

There was pretty much nothing to do there except relax, listen to the waves crashing and watch the sun go down.

I say, the ocean view is spectacular, but stopping by once for pictues is enough.

If you're thinking about swimming or surfing, the slippery rocks are definitely not helping. I don't quite understand the hype over this beach, maybe except that it's overrated because of Julia Roberts.

Have you heard about the new Manhattan Star Platter? One can't help but love The Manhattan FISH MARKET for coming up with star creations and new dishes, especially seafood lovers like myself!

This platter is cooked in all five methods - poached, grilled, flamed, baked and fried. You will be spoilt for choice when you tuck into the smorgasbord of tastes and flavors to invoke the taste buds, because I did!

Poached - Garlic Herb Mussels
This is one of the restaurant’s favorites; where the mussels are poached to preserve the moisture, juiciness and flavors so that diners can relish the seafood at its fullest! Served in the restaurant’s signature Garlic Herb sauce, diners will enjoy a side serving of baguette to mop up the sauce with to its very last bit.

Grilled - Grilled Calamari
The juiciness of the squid is sealed during the grilling process!

Flamed - Manhattan Flaming Prawns
This glorious flaming process is filled with the visual excitement of showmanship where the service crew also known as Sea-cret Agents perform on-the-spot flaming to bring out the caramelized sweetness of the succulent prawns.

Baked - Mediterranean Baked Fish
Gusto over another of the restaurant’s hot favorite! By having the dory fillet baked in an irresistible blend of flavorful spices and herbs in foil, this cooking method helps to seal in the tantalizing aroma and flavor within to allow each and every diner to savor the goodness of the fish right up to the very last bite.

Fried - Fried Oysters
They are coated in batter to give the oysters a crunchy bite on the outside while locking in the juicy tender goodness on the inside.

All in all, this dish is delicious and worth giving a try. I'm not kidding! For only SGD$39.95, it can be shared between 2 person.

I approve of all that I ate, and loved the Mediterranean Baked Fish most. The texture was soft, juicy and it was easy to chew. In fact, the whole dish was pleasantly cheesy and surprising for me! I used to give The Manhattan FISH MARKET a second look because of bad food experiences... However, the quality of their food has since improved a lot. I don't know how to put it in words, but all I could say is I'll definitely be back for more!

Oh, and did I mention? This dish is only available for dine-in at all outlets of The Manhattan FISH MARKET from now to 31 October 2013 ONLY. If you want to try it, you better grab it fast before it's gone!

While you're there, you might want to their their mocktails!

The Gummy Bear mocktail is a refreshing mix of of the exciting flavours blue curracao and tropical mix. This popular thirst quencher was a mix of sweet and sour soda.

Another drink you might want to try is the Cala Cala.

Also one of the more popular mocktails, it's a combination of calamansi and lemonade for a citrusy fizzy sensation!

I am a sucker for mushroom soup! This one had a lot of mushroom bits. I wish the portion was bigger and the soup less diluted though!

Kuta Beach is one of the most famous beach resort destination in Southern Bali. Many foreigners flock there to admire the magnificent panorama view, as well as get adventurous with surfing because of the strong current and high waves.

My beach experience was mediocre. There were a few hiccups like constant harassment from street vendors going around to market their products despite already giving a definite "no".

Also, I found the water murky, the place was overpopulated, noisy and slightly dirty with litter. It was a far cry from the relaxing and peaceful beach I seek for. The sand was soft, but wasn't the beautiful, white sand I was expecting. I say, if you're looking for a beach that's very happening, then this is the place for you!

Sunset in Bali is about 6.10pm local time. Most people gravitate on the beach during that timing.

It is a must for me to watch the sun go down everyday when I was in Bali! It was a view too magnificent and unbelievable to be missed. Tip: Find a quiet spot and bask in the ambiance!

Watching the world go by.

For the shopaholics, you'll find the whole row of local sellers at the back selling a myriad of things, from drinks, temporary tattoos, jewelries, umbrella chairs, massage services and offering surfing lessons.

Explored the Kuta-Legian area without much difficulty. There are many lanes you can go into. The popular ones along the Jl. Legian street are Poppies Lane 1 & 2, where you can find pretty decent restaurants!

To be honest, I found the Kuta-Legian area pretty mundane. Maybe because this area is more catered to tourists (especially the flood of Australians), I felt like I was in a rural part of Australia because of the surf brand shops and food served at restaurant's were more or less catered to them.

Shopping was rather disappointing too. So many shops, but all sold the same few items!

Surprisingly, the roads and shops were rather quiet in the day. It was the complete opposite when dawn came!

The interesting thing about Bali was certainly how they preserved their cultural artifacts, yet incorporated modern twists like graffiti.

Temples were aplenty in Bali. There is one in every home!

Kuta Square! You can find quite a few shopping malls if you walk around the area.

Was walking along Kuta Beach when I stumbled upon Beachwalk shopping mall. Found a variety of food and shopping choices here (they're not exactly cheap), though you can find majority of them in Singapore!

Although Kuta-Legian area is huge and bustling, I was surprised that there were no buses or trains! The only means of transports are mostly scooters, motorbikes, taxis, cars, vans and by foot.

An attraction that caught my attention were the horse-drawn carriages! You can sit in the carriages and the horse will run around the area for a fee. I found it disgusting though. The horses looked miserably skinny and have their heads down most of the time... Worst thing was they have their eyes covered with a piece of cloth! ;/

A memory that lingers in the hearts of many and bring sorrows when thought about was the 2002 Bali Bombings in the tourist district of Kuta. The Bali Bombing Memorial bears the names and nationalities of each of those killed on intricately carved stone, set with a large marble plaque. There are certain timings when you are not allowed to enter though.

Night life in Kuta-Legian region is the busiest. In fact, it is probably the capital of nightlife! The streets are congested till wee hours of the morning!

This place is where the partying starts. You'll find countless of bar singers and club songs blasting at full volumes! Although it was not my kind of thing, I found it amusing to mingle around a little since the music was not bad here and there.

With such heavy partying, it's no wonder to have drugs circulating. While walking down the streets, many shopkeepers asked "You want Mushroom?"

You'll see shops after shops with signboards advertising their "Magic Mushrooms" and how fresh it was. Magic Mushrooms are a sort of drug that is legal in Bali, being sold openly in Kuta-Legian area. From what I heard, it causes hallucination? I don't have any idea what it is or what it does, but if you want to try it, go ahead by all means. However, do practice caution when dealing with it!
